Unfortunately I know a lot of people who only pray when things are going "badly"...when they can't figure out a way to turn things around...if you only pray when you are in trouble, you're in trouble!

Taking everything to the Lord in prayer is a privilege. Christ gave His life so that we could. To not do so is to completely miss the wonder of the gift that we have been offered: LIFE. We are dead in our sins...simply dead in the water, our lives just a holding cell until our ultimate eternal demise. I know it sounds horrible and depressing...it is! But there is the good news folks, it doesn't have to stay that way.

God loved us so much that He sent His son to make a way for us where there was no way. To do that Jesus had to come to earth and die, taking on all of our sins. He did so willingly...and even now he sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for us.

The most beautiful image that I have of Christ other than the cross, is him pleading my case before God every time I sin...I can just hear him, "but Father, she didn't mean to do it, please forgive her, she doesn't know what she is doing. I will help her to change, please give me some time, allow the Spirit to work in her. Have pity, have mercy, be patient Father..."

Thank you Jesus. Thank you for being willing to go to the cross for me! Thank you for interceding for me until I can come home. Thank you for loving me enough to make a way for me, no matter what the cost to you.

"Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ who died - more than that, who was raised to life - is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." - Romans 8:34

When ( And I do hope it's when and not if) you go to church today, remember what Jesus has done, but better yet, what he continues to do on your behalf, and Praise him...Worship him...Thank him! Walk in your freedom and take that freedom to others who have not heard the good news.
